A love of growing
Poetry in Flowers grew from a lifelong love of nature, gardening and the quiet joy of watching things grow.
Long before floristry became my work, my hands were already in the soil. I’ve always found comfort in growing - whether its flowers, fruits or vegetables - tending to small seedlings and patiently waiting for them to become something beautiful. Gardening taught me to slow down, to notice the seasons and to appreciate the rhythm of the natural world.
That connection to the garden is at the heart of everything I create.
Inspired by the seasons
I’m a passionate lover of British flowers and the way they reflect the time of year - the softness of Spring, the abundance of Summer, the richness of Autumn and the stillness of Winter. I believe flowers should feel rooted in their season, not forced against it.
Wherever possible, I choose British-grown blooms and work with local suppliers who share the same values. I’m inspired by sustainability, not perfection - using what’s available, reducing waste and allowing nature to lead the design rather than controlling it.

Poetry in Flowers was created from a desire to return floristry into something more meaningful.
In a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, I wanted to create a space where flowers could once again be chosen with care - where a bouquet isn’t simply something beautiful, but something felt. A small gesture that carries emotion, intention and connection.
Flowers mark so many moments in our lives - love, celebration, comfort, remembrance - and I believe they deserve, time, thought and gentleness.
The language of flowers
At the heart of my work is floriography - the traditional language of flowers.
For centuries, flowers have been used to express sentiment when words felt difficult to find. Each stem carries it’s own symbolism, it’s own quiet meaning. This history deeply inspires the way I design - allowing flowers to speak softly, honestly and with intention.
Whether it’s a message of love, a gesture of sympathy or a simple reminder that someone is being thought of, flowers have a beautiful way of communicating what matters most.

I love creating flowers for local homes, everyday moments and meaningful occasions - becoming part of the celebrations, rituals and life’s in-between moments. Supporting local growers, working close to home and building genuine relationships is just as important as the flowers themselves.
